A Fun Little Cocoa Program
While working on Hillegass’ book Cocoa(R) Programming for Mac(R) OS X (3rd Edition). I made this small app. It is called Speak Line and it basically speaks whatever you type in the text field. It is very entertaining.
The book shows you how to do it with the default voice but I could not stop there. I decided to figure out how to find what other voices were available and then went through them all (there were a total of 24) and picked the one I found to be funniest. Click on the picture below to see the screen capture video I created with Snow Leopard’s new Quicktime (I recorded it in my native resolution of 1440×900 so you might have to maximize your window).
