How to Download and Create Free iPhone Ringtones

06 September 2009 | Apple | Tags: , , , , , ,

A lot of people always ask me what the easiest way to create ringtones for the iPhone is. Apple made sure to make the process time consuming and not that obvious for the average user. Instead they offer to create the ringtone for you through iTunes at a price. Well I am here to tell you that the process does not have to be time consuming or cost you anything. It can actually be very easy and free!

Audiko

The key to creating and downloading ringtones to your iPhone is Audiko.net. This site lets you download ringtones created by other users and lets you create your own ringtones from your own mp3′s. It lets you specify the length of the ringtone and which section of the song you want to use.

Once you are done picking the section and length, it lets you download the finished ringtone in the file format required by the iPhone (.m4r). All you have to do after downloading your newly created ringtone, is open iTunes, import the ringtone, and sync your iPhone. That it!
