I agree, Apple are feeding the public with misleading info. One of the first things i tried was to make a video and send it to my parents living on the other side of the world. Fat chance. I've been trying to send from my pc too using hotmail, yahoo and gmail... no good. My phone tells me basically that the file can't be more than 9MB, which works out to approx 2~3 seconds... what's the point of sending that to anyone?! Contacted Apple help line and they suggested "wifi?" did that already, "gmail?", did that already. Apple you are no help what so ever! Even your so called "Genius" need to be retitled because they are far from the title they have been given.
Went to replace my phone on 2 occasions in one month, yep now on my 3rd phone within one month due to numerous issues. FACT:- They don't replace your phone with a new one, they give you a used repaired one! This is within the first month of purchase too. If you were to buy a new TV and had problems with it twice within the first month, would be given a used repaired TV as the replacement... NO, you would be given a brand new TV or demand it, wouldn't you!
Apple have a number of issues with their product and they haven't corrected these issues properly but instead the dish out new updates for the phone and itunes with even more problems. Uhhh I DON'T GET IT APPLE, WHAT THE F#%K ARE YOU DOING?! Correct all the problems before offering us "ping" which sounds like complete and utter crap to me.
Apple, you're S#%T!!!!!!!!!!!!! You sound like one of the worst companies out there at the moment.
Apple lovers, stop backing up this company and licking Steve Job's backside and wake up!

My iphone 4 does not recognize my username or password to upload to Youtube. I've tried resetting my password on my Mac G4 to no avail & the Iphone4 still doesn't work. I've looked in settings for Youtube on the phone but there is nothing to there to set. Apple should have included this there. Next thing I'll try is looking for help on the internet.

I've been sitting on the fence about getting an iphone for 3 years and whenever anyone asked for advice about buying a phone I would always advise against an iphone. A week ago I had a play with an iphone 4 and it looked and felt good and I was impressed with the video quality... I bought one yesterday... In under 24 hrs I noticed this video-email compression "feature" that can't be disabled. how disappointing!

how hard would it be to allow the user to choose!!!!!

John, I went to that site and they updated it saying it does not work (copying and pasting into email). I personally couldn't get the video to paste in the email. I would copy the video and then when I went to the email I would press down to get the paste option but it would only give me Select and Select All options so I couldn't even paste it.

Therefore, I must conclude that as of today there is still no way to export HD 720p video from an iPhone 4 without having to sync to a computer.

Here is an another post that may help.

If you copy the video from your camera roll, and paste it into the email, it is not resized. (This was a trick we used to use so pictures werent resized). I tested this this morning on a short video and it worked like a charm.

Have you tried to copy and paste into an email. I know with Photos you can bypass the auto-downgrade by selecting the photo (from the library) hit copy... open an email... and then hit paste.

I have not tried this with video no the iPhone 4, but it just might work =) Let me know - [removed email address for security reasons]

Cheers!

I think this was a bad decision on Apple's part. They could have made the default to not upload in HD but still give the option (for power users) to upload in 720p. They even banned the one app (Pixelpipe) from the app store that used to be able to do it.
