Now that I have a little more time on my hands, I have decided to transfer the voltage regulator circuit that I previously posted about onto a strip board.

I am still trying to work out the best layout of the components but here are a couple of pics of what I have so far. In the pictures you can see the potentiometer with a knob attached to control the voltage and a DC power jack that accepts the standard wall wart DC plugs.
