Stereo Audio Amplifier
The very first circuit that I ever made on my own was a stereo audio amplifier. I chose to make this circuit out of necessity. At the internship I was in, the computer seemed to not amplify the audio coming out of it and my speakers did not have an amplifier either and so the sound coming out was very low.
This circuit would plug into the audio output of the computer on one end and the speakers would plug into the circuit on the other end. As the signal from the computer entered the circuit, it was amplified by two LM386 IC’s and fed out to the speakers. The circuit has two potentiometers (variable resistors) to control the gain (volume) of each channel.
Here is the schematic. I am not sure if this was the final one I used but this one should work.
